Air New Zealand delivers uniquely Kiwi journeys to more than 13 million passengers who fly to, from and within New Zealand each year. The airline operates more than 4,000 flights each week, connecting customers to 26 destinations within New Zealand and to Australia, the Pacific Islands, Indonesia, China, Japan, Canada, USA and the United Kingdom.
In recent years Air New Zealand has earned a global reputation as one of the world’s most innovative airlines. Recent innovations have included the new Economy Skycouch as part of its new long-haul experience, the all black painted Boeing 777-300ER - the world's largest commercially operated aircraft to be painted all black, and the end of the check-in queue for domestic and some international passengers thanks to a raft of new technologies.
Partnering with international celebrities such as Bear Grylls, Snoop Lion and Jesse Tyler Ferguson to share brand, retail and safety messages in a fresh and innovative way enables the airline to engage with a wide audience and further build an already strong brand globally.
In 2014, Air New Zealand will become the worldwide launch customer of the Boeing 787-9 aircraft, which will transform global air travel.
